The default setting for Roku in the bit rate override control is automatic. If I leave it on auto it gobbles up my data allotment like a hungry hog. So I have been changing it to manual and setting it at 2500 mbps unless I'm watching sports or a movie with a lot of special effects. That worked great for months until last week. Now when I lower the bandwidth it flips back to automatic as soon as I exit the settings menu. That allows Roku to use up to 12000 mbps. Cox charges for goin over a terabyte a month are outrageous. Anybody know why it does this? I called Roku tech support and after a half hour on hold talked to some guy un India and couldn't understand a word he said.
