the *no call* that some in this forum are defending as blatant interference, Saban should call SEC officials and Shula and spot them 15 pts... 2 times what they would have had
That play didn't change ch!t...If Alabama was worth their salt, why didn't they do ANYTHING in the 2nd half, especially on that failed onside kick to start things off... People are pessimistic about this program, and have been all season. I have been, to a certain extent. But, to say that we are "lucky" to win the game based on one call is ludicrous...McDltSt.Louie is just spouting off again...He should stick to stats, because his judgements are sometimes a tad off-kilter...
Will LSU ever have an offense comparable to the '92 Florida National champions.... I would just love to see a great arial attack QB at LSU to take advantage of our good recievers. Take UF's Offense with Wuerffel and put it with our defense from last year... and you got probably one of the best teams ever in college football.. rivaled only by the 95 Braska team
they better be checking out next week's game instead of wasting kleenex on the whoopin they got in Tiger Stadium. :sob:
Ok, let me speak real slowly for your dumb butt. Up to that point in the game, LSU's offense had not done JACK. The defense was struggling somewhat as well, and Alabama was on the verge of making the score 17-6, had the referee made an obvious call on CWeb. Up to that point in the game, the field position game was heavily in Alabama's favor as well. When CWeb ran back an interception he should have never had, it totally turned the field position into LSU's favor instead for the remainder of the 2nd half. Even though LSU did not score, they pushed Alabama back inside their 10 and caused the fumble that gave LSU a lead they would not relinquish. The offense only got started after this point. LSU may very well have come back and won anyway. But at that point in the game the way our offense was playing, it was not likely and was not going to be easy to mount a comeback being 11 points down. That being said, I am happy LSU finally got a break from a bum call (no call) by a ref. Things do tend to even out in this regard.
