After trolling the Bama and the Arkansas message boards it seems almost like Les Miles has it "easy" here at LSU. The Hog fans are really blasting Nutt, bc of his statements (His quotes are actually worse than Les) and the way he is handling the new mess with Mustain and the other Springdale players. Bama fans demanded that Mal Moore fire Shula and now they have scared off every coach in America. They are now inventing news so that it seems like Saban is going to be their coach. I am so glad to be in our situation instead of theirs. :thumb:

No doubt the way Bama is handling things is scaring off any major coach.

This is no longer a primo job. The Bama program has officially hit rock bottom. And there may be no one to uplift this program in the forseeable future.

Any sick people on this board basking in their misery? :hihi:

It's still a major job. It's just not the right job for many coaches. Those Bryant/Stallings types just don't comes along very often.

I'd say that happened a few years ago after the Dubose scandal/Franchione desertion/NCAA probation/Price scandal quadruple whammy. They are past that low point, now. This is just a coaching change and they could still end up with a clear upgrade from Shula.

Through all this is lost, in my opinion, that Mike Shula was a good coach.

We really have nothing upon which to base 10-year predictions. Based on the players we each have now and that Bama will be breaking in a new staff, new offense, and new defense, I think our chances over the next your years will have us winning 3 of 4.

Beyond that, who can say? New players, new schedules, new coaches, a playoff, can all come into play.

You would think this thread was about Nutt and how soft his Dick was against LSU.
