After hearing how the athletic department wants to give Tiger Stadium a heavy cleaning, why don't they do something to make the outside of the stadium a little more appealing? I think they should put murals on the outside of the stadium. They could start on the south side of the stadium. Hell, there are art studios right there in the south part of the stadium. I think it would be nice to walk across South Stadium drive and see a huge mural with Mike the Tiger, Cholly Mac, Billy Cannon, etc. I don't think they should put a mural on the north side, though. That side of the stadium still has the look of the Roman Colliseum. What do you all think?
why not? As long as the don't give the contract to some out of state company who will charge a bundle and then screw it up like they did with the Tiger logo.
I am sorry I disagree....I like the idea, just not outside the stadium. It reminds me of Auburn!!! :cuss: Anyway, maybe if they had those types of pictures on the inside walls of the stadium, also....they need to fix those damn old dorm rooms up!!! The outside of the stadium needs two things: 1. pressure washing job 2. Purple and gold lights to light it up at night!
jordan-hare was the first thing i thought of too. the area around tiger stadium is great, the stadium itself just needs some major major washing. repairing the dorm windows and painting the window frames would be great also. hopefully they'll do it before the season, because there are some huge games and i expect gameday to be at the auburn game.
I still think the university is funny about having Billy Cannon's image official assoicated with the university due to his legal problems although they were post-LSU.
Personally I think that a major pressure washing, both outside and inside of the stadium would be an excellent start. I also agree with doing something to repair the old dorms in the stadium so that the inside of the old dorm rooms can not be seen from the outside. Maybe they could fix the old dorm rooms so that no one can tell that rooms were there. Other than that I believe it should stay just like it is except for the new proposed expansion.
What about renovation of the old dorms. My pops says they were a blast. I would have loved to live there. I'm sure most on deck freshman would agree.
