7-3 What an exciting game we saw. Both Defenses really stepped up! After a couple of days to move past the unfortunate loss, I got to thinking.....What would be a better game to watch? One like we witnessed last Sat, a 7-3 game with great Defense, not sloppy offense. Or a high scoring game like 35-38, where defenses don't really play much into the factor?

I like the defensive games myself. They usually involve harder hitting and you get to see the big D-linemen get excited as apposed to watching WRs celebrate who the are usually ego-maniacs anyway.

I feel better with the defensive contest. Those high-scoring affairs for both teams always get on my nerves because usually the defense for both sides was lousy.

I feel more confident with a strong defense for the rest of the season. The offense will come along.

defensive games are more nerve wrecking because one play can make the difference between a W and a L

Try jumping up and down then holding your breath until you turn blue. That way, you still get to throw your tantrum and we don't have to hear it.

Enough already. Geez. What a crybaby.

I just noticed how many posts you have. That's quite a lot, sabanfan.

The people complaining about the game will stop, but in the meantime stop instigating them, or they'll complain even more.

I agree. What could have potentially turned out to be a legendary matchup in the modern-day SEC (even if we still would have lost) has been forever tainted by officiating incompetence.

Confucious also say "friedriches understands you not, he does."

    Or maybe that was Yoda.

I really enjoyed the game. I thought it sucked we had to lose, but that is how football should be played. We saw a real football game Sat.

That game could have gone either way. Sure, the refs sucked and our O wasn't clicking like they were against UL or ARI, but we played very well and gained a lot of respect nationally. In a way we are the SEC smash mouth version of the 90's Gators ... we are top ranked, play "game of the week" type games, and end the season in huge bowls. Not only that, other teams are copying our style, everyone in the SEC is trying to build their team like the Tigers: speed, size, hard hitting, and tough. It's not as pretty as the Fun and Gun, but it's real football the way it should be played.
