1. Why in the hell would he do it for the Miami Dolphins job? That has turned into a completely horrid franchise with hardly any considerable talent on roster.

If Saban has brain #1 in his head, he will wait about two more weeks, when the Minnesota Vikings job will most certainly open up. Instead of going to an empty cupboard, he can inherit a potential playoff team and make them REALLY good.
  2. You mean the same Vikings that have an owner who may sell the team to someone who may move it? And, if he doesn't sell, an owner who has very little loyalty to coaches?

Mike Tice is one of the lowest paid coaches in the league. To get Saban, he'd have to quadruple what he pays Tice now...all at a time when he's trying to convince people in Minnesota money is tight for him.

    Uh, no.

If Nick's looking for an NFL team with talent and in need of a swift kick in the ass, he only needs to drive an hour south of Baton Rouge.
  3. Miami is the only NFL team with a "hands-off" owner who is willing to give Nick complete control of the program. Not many teams will allow a head coach to be General Manager and Personnel Director, too. Not many owners will stay out of the locker room and the coaches office.

Nick is a control freak. He has total control of the football program at LSU and this is what he has been holding out for in an NFL job.
  4. Show me a team with a great front office, great talent, money to buy great players, and the support of the city ....and I'll show you a team that isn't hiring a new coach.

When you take over as a head coach, there is a built in set of circumstances you must deal with....not the least of which being you probably suck ass.
