Are the voters gonna care about the scratched game?

Assuming Fournette has the year we anticipate, is missing this game gonna hurt his Heisman chances?

I don't think so, it never comes down to yards with running backs. The year Mark Ingram won it there were about 6 tailbacks that had more yards than he did.

Missing a game could hurt his stats versus other top running backs, but if he makes it as a finalist, I don't think the voters will care. The problem is that Heismans mostly go to quarterbacks these days. 12 of the last 13 trophies.

I agree, if he lights it up, especially in this league, a game vs. McNeese isn't going to matter.

Plus, if he is that close to another runner, he should have a better ypc average with one less game.

Big games against ranked opponents on national TV is what wins the Heisman.

LSU fans don't care about Heisman's so why would the voters. ;)

Speaking of Heisman, is Braxton Miller the front runner right now? I mean if the award were for the best college football player.
