...and my first thought was it was Floyd and his agent putting his name out there. But, according to someone who has spoken with the USCw AD, he says Floyd's name is still in play? Seeing Mike Davis as a name up there as well. On another note, I hear Jeff Capel is high on the USCe list as well.
Just can't see it happening. He's settled in at USC and being successfull, why come for at best a lateral move? Not to mention, I can't see us outbiding USC, if they choose to attempt to keep him. Real longshot, I think
I thought so as well. But, one of our stations out in Cali spoke with a few at USC and said it's still in play. I'm interested to see vball's take on this.
One of the things we have going for us is that OJ Mayo is sure to leave and I'm not sure his nucleus is really that strong beyond him. They lost in the first round this year too.
Also do not see him leaving USC yet. Even though they lost the 1st round a Mayo could leave they still performed at a top level against the strong Pac 10 this year.
Not so fast. :yelwink2: OJ's mom is adamant that he stay another year and that has some pull with him. OJ is also enrolled for summer school which is a good sign plus he's made comments recently suggesting that it is up for consideration as opposed to the "for sure I'm going" talk he espoused earlier in the year. Considering the losses (in terms of people) USC has had over the last few years, it is unreasonable to expect that we would have done much better. The program needs some continuity in personnel and that takes time. I believe TF has that.
i don't see it happening. but i don't think it's outlandish to think LSU would contact him or that he would show interest.
No chance. He would be foolish to do that. face it Basketball is 3rd fiddle to Baseball and Football. why would he leave southern california to come to Baton Rouge to be 3rd in pecking order in the athletic department.
