I'm sure we'd want TF to be a positive representation of LSU.

CNNSI and they are ripping on Trojan fans for being "too hard on Booty" and quoting wearesc.com

Sad part about this is that the majority of the ones posting these things are not even USC fans and mostly bruin fans and trolls.

I thought it could be used to show that things said here can shed ugly light on our fan base. Internet forums are not some private Great Room and are evermore becoming integral parts of sports writers sources, not to mention recruits' and their parents.

When we discuss good play/bad play, I hope we keep that in mind. Does anyone really believe LSU has any shot at Joe McKnight's younger brother after the treatment JM received? Angry/hurt or not, the best politicians give jobs to the ones who were against them and increase their support base for the next election.

Negative things we post in here could be giving a snapshot to athletes considering attending LSU or players already on our roster. Are they seeing our support or an overly critical bunch of fans? Just food for thought.

Oh, is it just me or does it seem like there is an increased number in threads degenerating into personal attacks? We're experiencing the best times of our Program's history- back to back 11-2 seasons and on a 5-0, National Title Campaign......let's enjoy the good times. Can we not discuss/disagree without taking dissenting views so personal?

I would think that JM's playing time and depth chart position after being so avidly courted would be a bigger impact.

I'm sure that if a reporter goes to any team forum board to dig up dirt ,they wouldn't have any problem finding it.Are you saying that we should not come here and voice our opinions about our team?I hope not,les miles will wear his hat right before I'll be silenced.

It does seem odd to me that a journalist would rely on a message forum for some of his article. To me, the article sheds more of a bad light on the author than it does on the forum quoted. One can easily go to any sports forum and find the best and worst of fans. Some forums lead sportswriters to find the best of fans:

I am glad that we allow people to come on here and blow off steam. Some of the more interesting discussions each week are those threads where people are doing just that. The forum would be quite a boring place otherwise.

i sure hope my opinions in no way represent LSU. im just a stupid fan. by extension, anyone that thinks my opinion represents LSU is stupid too, more stupid.

Odd? It's been the standard for several years now. I'd agree, it does shed light on the writer, but at the same time, it has become the standard MO for practically everyone in the industry.

true. i seem to remember an equal number of fans being very matter of fact about mcknight well at usc. they understood that one player was not the recruiting class.

it just seems that in all discussions the nay-sayers, negative, and disgruntled posters are the most vocal. but that never has, and i don't believe ever will be, a true representation of the entire fan base.

I agree, trash Ole piss or fUSC as organizations, mildly harass coaches, leave the kids alone.
