In response to the KR and PR stuff in the Den

1. Jones is really, really a strong runner. He's not the guy you'd expect to run around everyone, but he can run through someone. If safety wouldn't be a little thin, he would be quite the fill-in at WR.

2. LaFell is also very explosive. His hands is what might hurt him on returns.

3. If Murphy gets the job, he will take at least 1 to the house this year. He doesn't see blocking schemes and such well yet because he is so young, but he is really, really slippery.


Now, just some general stuff:

1. This team is adopting a little thing where they are breaking the season into two parts. Miles always is saying to the guys: "Get me to New Orleans undefeated."

While most would think he is talking sugar bowl, he is talking about the Tulane game.

He says if they can get through that first part, then they can worry about bigger and better things later.

2. The team is really, really ready to play, especially Matt Flynn. For those who remember the MSU game last year, it was one of Matt's worst of his career. They took out russell and actually had to put him back in, because flynn was playing so poorly, so Matt is out for blood.

3. The RB thing is a mess and is unsettled. When I say "mess", it's obviously a good problem, because they feel they have 3-4 guys who they can give 20 carries a game to. But the problem is that it is so hard to judge who is good and who isn't, because they are running against the best rush defense in the nation every day.

I sure as hell wouldnt want to be tackling Jones.
I know a backup WR on kickoff doesnt want to either.
