Can Meyer win games against big time opponents... who know? Sad that this is true even after being in a BCS game...

Gear up for the real Urban lovefest after Saturday's win over Phat Phil. Ugh.

One upside of not having power or internet for a few weeks is missing the Notre Dame story. Just the few times I picked up ESPN radio was nothing but ND is a legit threat.

I've got to pull for the hillbillies, if only to further hype the LSU/Tenn matchup.

Yea, thats one reason to pull for them. Another is that in no way do I want an undefeated confident Gator team to come strolling into TS. As much as I hate them, i want UT to blow Leak up. I want them to knock him down early and often, to have him running for his life behind the line of scrimmage, and to get him throw 2-3 INTs.

I don't know about everybody else, but the UT game isn't "scaring" me. I am just aprehensive about it. Yea, our pass defence sucked, but Sam Keller is a good QB who showed in his 3 previous games that he had that kind of talent. Can Clausen take advantage of it......maybe. Does UT have that big play receiver that would warrent much cussion (if any).......no . The possibility that UT blows our secondary up isn't likley enough to make me lose any sleep. What i think happens is that UT gambles and comes out throwing and our DBs get their hands on the ball early (like we did against ASU). Unlike the game against ASU, though, i beleive we will catch those balls and start the momentum our way and keep it the rest of the game.

The Florida game scares the crap out of me though. Their strength play right into our weakness. They have a good QB who can throw the ball deep, and they have the speedy receivers that can blow by us if we can't cover them. The best thing we can hope for is for Leak to come in doubting himself and hesitating just a little bit. Even if (when) our secondary redeams itself vs UT, i will hold off my grading of Pellini's adjustments from the ASU game untill after UF.

No one has recievers that can blow by us. We have the possibility of running a scheme that would allow an old man in a wheel chair to blow by us. But in man coverage, there isn't a recieving corp in the NCAA that can burn our recievers.

I'd rather an overconfident Leak that hasn't really been challenged yet. I think it would be much easier to throw them off their game if they get solid results from it against Tennessee. That way, there more than likely won't be any contingency plans and they'll be screwed.

I hope ur right saltyone. I would like Tenn to barely squeak by Florida, so that it makes the LSU/Tenn game a bigger game plus Florida wouldn't fall below 15th and therefore it would give us an opportunity to beat 3 top 15 teams in a row, well almost in a row. Then how couldn't they push us past Texas. There would be no argument excpet for the love fest of Vince Young by the media.

Speaking of the media's bias, did you notice that they have put 2 Notre Dame players in the top 10 for Heisman watch!! Pah-lease!!

I don't think Texas will move until they lose. The BCS sometimes may allow a team to jump a team, but not the coaces or AP. They don't like to move a team down unless they lose.
