Is there a Help section somewhere for the site?

Specifically I'd like to know if:

1- the site can be used in a "tree" fashion, where I can choose to view the messages one by one, instead of an entire thread per page

2- what does the "Thread/Thread Starter" thing at the top of the board mean?

    Thanks.

Rex, the short version is: yes you can. Go into your control panel, then "edit options". I don't recall off the top of my head the exact option it is, and I'm at home with a dial-up and don't feel like taking the time to experiment for you, but the options are there and with a few tries you will be able to figure it out. This board gives you the "tree" or "thread" versions, whichever yopu prefer (isn't it great?).

    Hmmm.

There are only two thread display modes listed as options:

    Linear - Newest first
    Linear - Oldest first

The help page shows too other options, tree and hybrid, but they're not part of the selection drop-down menu.

    Hi Rex.

The forum comes with a threaded view option but to be honest I think it's so poorly implimented it's not worth using so it's been disabled. There is another module being developed that will allow users to view the forum in the Threaded View but it's not quite ready. When it's done I'll be adding it to the forum.

    Thanks, Brett.

    Thanks, Brett.

One last question... How do I get a smilie onto my post? I tried dragging one, but I got textual script, instead.

Rex, you simply have to click on the smilie. It will show up in words in your textbox but will be converted to the smilie once you submit.
