I've been sitting here the last couple days crushed over what has happened. Just a few minutes ago I found out that a friend of mine here at A&M said his family has lost everything. His parents live in one of the towns nearby New Orleans. The same goes for many of his family members in the area. I really feel like I need to do something. I've already made a couple donations, including giving some gift cards to a desk clerk at a local hotel here that has numerous NO families staying here for a while so the families can buy clothes, food and so on. Is there any organizations I can contant and get invovled in the relief effort? I really want to go out there and help out. We are all Americans and eventhough I'm not from LA, I feel crushed seeing so many people suffering. If anybody knows any contact info let me know.
