He was listed as 240 last year. I am hoping he worked out in the weight room and not at the dinner table. Anyone know for sure?
If he is a solid 270, I could see him stepping in and getting a lot PT next year as an every down DE

This was last year. He was definitely not 270 then.

I doubt he's 270. I played against him for 4 years in HS. He was highly touted, but I really don't think he was that great. Tall, but not big.

I played against Sean Merril, and he wasn't all that impressive, and he was actually a lot bigger then. But coaches recruit for POTENTIAL, they see things the untrained eye doesn't. I also played against Stephen Peterman who was a slow 260 lb. tight end. I thought LSU was crazy for signing him......Well, look what happened to him, after that, i realized that these coaches know what they are doing.

If coaches recruited purely on how their stats were in high school, college football would be a different place. When I was in High School, we had a running back that was so dominating and he definitely had the body mold of a great ncaa running back. But he didn't even sign with any 1-A school, he went to Northwestern and it wasn't because of grades.

To say the least....I will be utterly impressed if he is at 270.
