You may have liked the quote but everything else sucked. Typical Maisel. Blow USC and ND and F*** the SEC up the a$$.

Sent Ivan an email. He is right on some points. I think the SEC will be exonerated in the post season. Tommy T. has not made things any easier on the SEC; from a media standpoint.

    Ivan,
I think you are right that the SEC has scheduled some pansies this year (Appalachian St., Western Kentucky etc.). But, upon further review, the SEC has scheduled some decent teams. Here is a few you did not mention in your ‘For Argument’s Sake’ column.

    Arkansas vs. USC

    Florida vs. Florida St.

    Georgia vs. GA Tech

    South Carolina vs. Clemson

Vandy vs. Wake Forest (which Vandy won)

Kentucky vs. Louisville (which Kentucky should have won)

In the future, look for Florida State vs. Alabama and Oklahoma vs. LSU.

I don’t think it’s fair to pick on just the SEC when it comes to non-conference scheduling. By the way, scheduling pansies doesn’t always guarantee a victory. Just ask Stanford.

Also, will Tennessee "prove itself nationally" by winning at Notre Dame? Phil Fulmer wants to know.

Maisel is anti-LSU, even with the compliment above. Also, Mandel from Si.com some how thinks that ASU was a quality team when they played USC, but was merely a typical 3-4 team when LSU struggled against them.

"If I believed for a minute that what Chris, Kirk, Lee or anyone else said about any school influenced a voter, I'd give Tuberville's theory credence. But I used to be a voter, and most voters I know would vote against something said on GameDay just to prove they aren't controlled by ESPN."

what? they take the vote so seriously they vote to spite gameday? and only most he knows would spite gameday, the rest would be influenced by gameday. yep.
