they haven't said they want him at second. i just talked to jc and they haven't said anything to him yet.
was reported by every source when he was drafted Braves said it was as a 2b. that's odd they forgot to tell him.
It was cool to see them compare him to former tiger Warren Morris. How in the world has Ryan Patterson and Bumstead fallen this far(round 15 now)
bumstead's hirky jerky motion scares scouts...they say he will never stay healthy with his mechanics so they are betting against him. Patterson's lack of mobility hurts him or so 'they' say. whoever the hell they are. I guess lateral movement required to be more versatile.
they might have told him but he said he was going to start out still in the outfield. he will prolly move leter though.
I think JC is great and all but there is no way he's playing center field as long as Andruw Jones is in ATL. That guy can cover some ground. Who else do the braves have in the OF?? JD Drew and Chipper??
chipper and andruw are on the downside of their career. I think Andruw is one of the biggest underachievers based on his ability. I surely thought he coulda been much more productive offensively throughout his career but he simply seems to go through the motions and puts up decent stats. defensively hes superb yet getting a bit heavy lately. How many HRs did he hit in the WS when he was 19? first at bat or first 2 were hrs?
