Don't know if this has been posted yet, but I just saw that Rodney Reed and Jack Hunt have both been signed by the Dolphins and will both be playing in NFLE this off season.

They both always seemed like nice, humble, intelligent fellas, so I wish 'em the best.

Maybe before it's all over we'll have an LSU North (Patriots) and an LSU Southeast (Dolphins). I could live with that. :thumb:

To extrapolate on the Saban/Belicheck connection, I keep seeing mock NFL drafts with NE taking Webster with the last pick in the first round.

If Saban was still talking personnel with Belicheck up through this year, there's no WAY Saban would have told him anything that would make him want to say "yeah, we definently want Webster" huh?

Or maybe Saban KNEW he'd be in the AFC East next year and told him Webster's a steal there. . .:hihi:

I think the Webster to the Patriots predictions are more the product of lazy draftniks who see a perceived lack of depth at CB/likely cutting of Ty Law and an LSU CB who'll be a late first-early second round pick and put the two together.

i'm glad jack hunt is getting a chance to play pro ball

but i hope saban doesn't make the same mistake spurrier did...filling his team with guys that used to play for him.

actually, i don't really give a crap what he does. i wouldn't mind this one blowing up in huizenga's fat face.

Our secindary in 2003 (with Hunt) was nearly inpenatrable, unlike last year, so that wouldnt surprise me.

on the college level, hunt was definately a difference maker.. the one game that LSU lost in 2003 was the one game that hunt was out with an injury.
