yeah, i didnt hear what was said but he's been cleared to play. Last we heard he couldnt throw and will only dh/ph. His shoulder stays sore but hes a gamer as everyone knows and will be busting ass to come back healthy.

its not like hes gonna be here 3 more years so whats it matter really. he'll be kicking for an NFL team soon with that leg.

Leadership --- That's what I thought of when I heard about him making the trip.

He had a way of rallying the team last year. We can only hope that having him along for the tourney will have positive benefits for the teams success there.

So he'll likely fill in the DH role tomorrow then?

looks like ph only in certain situations, a la curveball pitchers. How many relievers throw curves anyhow? weird. I guess he's too sore to dh and hit a fastball consistently? also, 2 more years eligible in baseball and only 1 in football.

i suppose he isnt interested in getting a medical rs just as i was guessing? what can it hurt. get one. tease us. no way he hangs around for just baseball though as his football eligibility will be used up. unless no one picks him up even as a FA which is doubtful.

Yeah, from the article it indicates that he'd jump at the first opportunity he has to play in the nfl. If he's only going to come in to pinch hit, then I don't see the point of using him. If he is able to DH, then by all means let him get a few at bats and try to help the team out. If, of course, he is indeed ready to face live pitching.

obviously not really ready but as you stated, being a leader the vets of the team wanted him to be on the roster. His presence may help more than his play. Who knows, he may pull a gibby.

Yeah, one of my good friends knows Chris and his family very well. They've said that Chris definitely wants to play pro football, and he had all but hung it up on baseball after this surgery. It wouldn't surprise me if this is the last time we ever see CJ in a baseball uni, because after this football season I'm pretty sure he's going to be working out for the draft.

I hope he is able to spark this team and maybe give them the confidence they've been lacking all year.
