Yeah, but will this be his #? #2 is his favorite # and obviously Mr. Brooks doesn't need it anymore.

The first organized football I played was in the 6th grade and the team was the Raiders. I chose Bert Jones' #7 since I played QB. I remained a Raiders fan through the Madden era, loved Kenny Stabler, Fred Biletnikoff, Dave Casper etc. Not sure when I stopped being a fan. I'm going to pull for JR but I am certainly not a Raiders fan.

I lived in the Bay Area for 5 years. Raider fans are some of the worst fans in the NFL. I knew one that actually believed the NFL is a conspiracy. When certain cities need money, they win (i.e. Saints, Bengals, he also said that the Patriots winning in '01 for 9/11 was a part of the conspiracy)

I hate the Raiders, and even though I wasn't the biggest JR fan, I'm gonna be pulling for him.

That just proves...Brooks sucked so bad, he couldn't even win a fixed game. :hihi:

I've long been a Raider sympathizer, though JR might make me a closet fan. And by closet fan, I mean having a JR jersey in my closet, that I bust out on Sundays. :hihi: Especially if my Fins keep heading downhill (though passing on Quinn is a great sign.)

For me, I only need to see a former LSU player take the field to watch any team, but I am not really a big fan of the NFL. Even though I grew up hating the redskins, I will probably make an effort to watch Landry this year. I hope they all kick ass.

Cmon guys. JR was our QB, and he was Frickin Amazing to watch at LSU. You never knew when he'd gun a 60 yard pass down the field to Bowe or Doucet. He was phenomenal to watch. And I would bet that he wanted to do it a hell of alot more than the coaches allowed.
SO,,,,,,you gonna watch the Raiders this year? I'm betting you all will. The one great thing about the Raiders is their well-earned reputation for the gutsy, down-the-field play. They've always been known for their outrageous play albiet sometimes dirty.
I look for the Raiders to showcase JR.

I agree, as I may hate the Raiders, I love JR...so with that said I will be tuning in to the Raiders games this year and rooting for JR to kick butt!!!

Do you really believe that passing on Quinn was a good idea? As much as I enjoyed pretty boy dropping so far. I don't think he will be bad quaterback. In addition I believe that if he would get off his high horse and listen to coaching, I think we could have exceled for the Fins.

Just my opinion though and being in Miami I have heard a lot of people agree with me!

No truer statement every made. As long as it doesn't affect the Saints I root for ALL LSU players no matter what team!!!!!!!!
