was interviewed on a radio show here in Mobile this morning and they asked him what were his top choices and he listed. LSU, Tenn, Georgia, Florida, Notre Dame.......Oh, poor Auburn wasn't even mentioned. On another show this afternoon they were talking about the interview and wondering if that was his order or not. Russell never specified the order but he did say LSU first and the hosts of the radio show all believed that LSU was the front runner....GEAUX RUSSELL!!!!!
Yeah, I know exactly where that is. Im originally from Mobile, went to school at LSU. Role reversal, I guess. I have yet to actaully get a degree in anything, yet, so Im debating going back to LSU (expensive for out of state) or just finishing at South. I took some time off to get some Cisco certification and recoup financially....we'll see.
thats exactly why I didnt go LSU (too expensive) I wanted to go badly but I would have been so in debt after school I chose otherwise.
Actually . . Auburn backed off Russell about 2-3 weeks ago. At this time Russell was still listing us as a leader. Exact reasons we backed off aren't made public although the internet rumor mill is stating that his Uncle is brokering his services. Considering our qb needs, I can't imagine us backing off a quality qb like Russell for any other reasons . . but we also backed off on Albert Means . .
