After watching the replay ..... Forget the stats, forget that we should have put more on the score board agaisnt Appy State. Here's your silver lining right here. this was the best "heads up" game Jamarcus has played. I know he threw a couple of short in the dirt passes. Seems he is always good for one or two of those. .... BUT the way he ran the ball when he couldnt find an open receiver. he actually ran with authority and avoided the hit, gained yards.... :thumb: and the bootleg pass he made to Zinger in the 3rd while being pressured! :thumb: the "old" jamarcus would have thrown it up for grabs......... yep he is getting a feel for the game..... folks if this big guy gets rid of those one or two " in the dirt" passes ...the rest of this year and next year...they can forget vince young and that vick dude. there was some serious Improvement made by our QB in this game. and dont say because it was Appy State, he had pressure those times he made those decisions, so it doesn't matter who it was.. Big guy in your face was what he was seeing. Kudos to Jamarcus for playing some heads up ball... yes I'll say it....FINALLY! :thumb:
Did you tape the game or are you able to see the replay on Cox? All I see is the LHSAA football pairings... i care little about that because my former high school will never see that lol
This is not something new. JaMarcus has progressed ENOURMOUSLY since last season & continues to get better every game. I don't understand why some people don't see that. Just look at the thread about him being 2nd in the SEC for efficiency & first in completion percentage. Sometimes he forces throws & throws them in the dirt. Sometimes he passes behind receivers. But last season it was the rule, not the exception like it is this season. It will continue to happen less & less.
THIS season it's been the RULE. alot of the time...your soooo wrong.... lol umm yes it is. wrong dude. dont get in an argument about that BS. try to give the dude props and look at you :dis: also the SEc isnt exactly a passing conf. It's defensive mostly.
I agree 100%... Often last year, no matter who our offense was facing, we were crippled in the passing game. I just shudder to think how good he would be if Ole Hard-Head would have just played him all year last year after Oregon St.
I seriously doubt it's possible to find statistics on this, but I think it happened much more frequently last season & has been pretty rare this season. I guess they are just opinions unless someone feels like watching all the game tapes from this & last season. :thumb:
Russell is a resilient player, and it’s that fearlessness that has enabled LSU to win in 2005, even while playing a lot of plug-ugly ball on offense. When the game is on the line i.e: ASU, Florida, Auburn, and we need to answer or lose...this QB answers. I expect nothing less on Saturday v. Bama. An ugly football game where Bama takes the lead late and LSU puts it together for the victory. HEY BAMA....HEY BAMA.....HEY BAMA.....WE JUST BEAT THE HELL OUTTA YOU!
