Did he sign with the Twins? Or did he go to class today??? I've been looking for some info on it, but can't find anything.
Yes and No. Yes, he did turn down the Twins INITIAL offer. But they actually had until he attended a class at LSU, to sign him. Word over the weekend was that they (the Twins) were going to make a strong push to get him signed. Mitchell had been practicing with the team for awhile now, but he did have discussions with the Twins during that time.
WWL audio archives Check out part 3 of Miles’ press conference. Around 6:35 into it he talks about Mitchell. Basically Miles said he better be going to class or he is going to be doing some serious running :lol:
Yeah. :hihi: I heard that earlier--which prompted me to search for any word on his (Mitchell's) decision. I should have known, by Miles' comments, that Jared had stayed....after all, if anyone would have known, it would have been Miles.
