Al Davis is senile old man when he blames Shell for last year's draft when the Raiders passed over Matt Leinart as well as that Vanderbilt QB. Yep, that's the team that you've handed your QB over to. While Art Shell is a horrible, horrible coach, he's not the GM of the team and he didn't make the decision to pass over Leinart. Every year, NFL GMs ignore what the coaches make and the coaches must make do with the players the GM drafted.

The real reason why Leinart was passed was because the Al Davis insisted on holding onto a antiquated offensive system where they emphasize the long ball over the more modern, West Coast offense. With the experience he had at USC, Leinart could have stepped in and taken over a NFL offense that was running a West Coast offense. However, there were concerns that he didn't have the arm strength needed to throw the bombs that Davis loved to see in the Raiders offense.

In the thread I had started about BQ, Hurricane had made the point that WRs know more about QBs than most people and had cited Jerry Rice's support of JR. And, if that's true, why don't you also mention what Tim Brown, the Raiders' greatest WR, has said about JR or BQ. According to Brown, he thought BQ was the better pick and he would have chosen several other players before JR.

Of course, I would have answered in that thread but its been moved out of this forum to prevent me from participating in it. Too bad because I had been marshalling some more evidence in support of BQ.

Don't bother comparing the moderators here to the paranoid cult of personality domer boards you normally skulk on. They are more than fair and tolerant of almost every poster I have seen here, including the ridiculous likes of......you. This thread was allowed to stay in the main forum much longer than usual, and was only moved because it is now a pro subject.

As far as "marshalling some more evidence in support of BQ ", it has become painfully obvious that you cannot defend your positions against anyone on this board, so you wade through 10-15 posts looking for some tangent to go off on. Destroying your statements is nearly as difficult as an involuntary muscle movement.

Bitter, you just proved how stupid your posts are. Tim Brown is a F'in ND grad, how can he not support Brady Quinn? Are you crazy?
