All LSU fans will be sorry to hear of the death of John Ferguson. For years he was the "Voice of the Tigers." I grew up listening to him give the play-by-play of each LSU game. While he had his critics, he bled purple-and-gold, and his loss will be keenly felt by those who rememer him.

I've never heard a game broadcast by him but from hearing comments of others about him over the years, along with some of his commentary on tapes it is obvious what a great loss this is to the LSU community.

For those of you like me who only know of him, take time to read the article about him today on lsusports.net. A great read on his life.

Ferguson also raised a TON of money for the TAF since his retirement right up until he was hospitalized a month ago. The guy was Tiger.

Heard the "voice of the Tigers" 100 miles short of the Cal. coastline, returning from Hawaii on a DC-10.
I was tuning the ADF's in the cockpit and heard "that voice", immediately knew what I had. Never another like him.:geauxtige
