1. Jefferson is a true sleeper and should be able to make an impact at LSU in a couple of years.
  2. Hopefully that funky throwing motion doesn't result in a bunch of passes batted down at the line of scrimmage.

    Definitely has strength however.
  3. maybe they can work some of that motion out in camp.
  4. Maybe he is 7'2" but yea, he has a wicked release on the ball. Kind of like Nolan Ryan. Funny thing is the ball is put where it needs to be, or could only be.
  5. Good passing motion, obviously has a "feel" for the ball. good strong arm and release. A little stiff, but thats to be expected in HS. Good QB coach, will get him smooth. Big kid...maybe another JR!..he sure looks a lot like him in his throwing motion.

  6. The kid looks good and his throwing motion reminds me of Vince Young.

  7. Are any of his receivers following him to LSU?
  8. This Jordan Jefferson kid is 6-foot-4, 200 lbs (for comparison, Ryan Perrilloux was 6-foot-2, 207 lbs out of high school and JaMarcus Russell was 6-foot-5, 220 lbs out of high school). Now, LSU's roster has Ryan Perilloux listed at 6-foot-3, 227 lbs.

    J. Jefferson is the 5th high-profile pure QB LSU recruit has signed since the 2003 recruiting class (pure QB, as in not one of those high school QBs listed as athlete by Rival and Scout, such as Kellen Theriot this year).

Last year (2007), LSU got QB Jarrett Lee (a white boy from Texas). LSUsports.net has some multimedia on him at http://www.lsusports.net/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=5200&ATCLID=785346&Q_SEASON=2007

In 2005, LSU got Ryan Perrilloux.

In 2003, LSU got JaMarcus Russell and Matt Flynn.

Here's how they were ranked by Rivals and Scout out of high school:

    Scout Overall QBs
    #2 (5 star) Ryan Perrilloux (2005)
    #4 (5 star) JaMarcus Russell (2003)
    #15 (4 star) Jarrett Lee (2007)
    #17 (4 star) Matt Flynn (2003)
    #44 (3 star) Jordan Jefferson (2008)

    Rivals Dual-Threat Option QBs
    #1 (5 star) Ryan Perrilloux (2005)

    Rivals Pro-Style QBs
    #6 (4 star) JaMarcus Russell (2003)
    #7 (4 star) Jarrett Lee (2007)
    #16 (4 star) Matt Flynn (2003)
    #19 (3 star) Jordan Jefferson (2008)
  9. Ugh. What an awful comparison.

His motion kind of reminds me of Tebow's, as well. Another dubious distinction. TT throws like a girl.
