Just another reason I don't like Pete Carroll

    USC up by 24 late in the 4th quarter & goes for the fake punt. I know they were trying to boost Leinart's stats for the Heisman & points for the the polls but, it was gutless. :mad:

    Stoops has been running up the score as well

    Just something the coaches think will help them BCS wise is my guess.

    Yes with the new BCS system relying mainly on the polls coaches willing to run up the score will be at an advantage over those that will not because most of the voters get their voting info from the sports page or the ESPN score board.

    Did you really need another reason to dislike carol.

    I had this discussion with someone last night on the on the game thread and we ended up agreeing to disagree. I personally have no problem with what Pete did, but I'm not as sensitive as some. I think if you didn't dislike everything USC, you wouldn't be making such a stink about it. It's football, coaches do things that are sometimes viewed in a bad way, but they feel it is in the best interest of the team and it's players. No big deal.

    These are my feelings that I posted on the other thread about it......

    I really can't blame PC especially after what happened to his team last year.

    It was me and I really didn't have a probelm with running up the score. After thinking about it, the only probelm I had was the gutless call of a fake punt. If you want to run up the score, man up and just flat out go for it. Don't resort to a fake punt. It came across to me as disrepectful and classless, but I wouldn't expect anything less from Petey.

    Who cares about running up the score.

    The problem I had was his interview he did talking about the BCS. He said that his team doesn't worry about the BCS, they just go out and play, and cannot be worried about something they can't control. They said that it will take care of itself.

    What a hypocritical piece of cow dung.

    I didn't hear him say this and I'm glad I didn't. How anyone can have an ounce of respect for this piece of crap is beyond me. I don't know who's lack of integrity is worse - Carroll's or TT's.
