Here are some interesting points factoring into his decision as well as other notes: 1) Close to home/family gets to see him play every home game 2) QB situation at LSU more favorable than UT 3) LSU retaining Jimbo Fisher as OC/Had great rapport with Jimbo over the summer working out with him 4) Vince Young's incredible performance in the Rose Bowl 5) Jamarcus Russell struggling and having to have elbow surgery?????? 6) LSU recruited him hard and kept on him 7) He decided to go to LSU just last night (take that for what it's worth) 8) He actively pursued getting Rouse, Bennett, RJ Jackson and LaFell over to LSU 9) He plans to compete for the starting job as a true freshman 10) He is attending summer school so he can learn the offense Am I missing something here about the elbow surgury? I played it back again, and it sure as hell sounded like he said those exact words. Also makes sense why Bennett WAS coming to LSU before his family made him decide to go in-state just prior to his announcement.
