These guys came to watch the Miracle League play last night, and they were really, really cool. For those who don't know, the Miracle League is a little-league organization that allows children with special needs to know what it's like to be part of a team. They play on Tuesday nights from six to eight PM, and we often see local celebrities coming out there to be a part of it. These are probably the biggest names we've seen so far this year. They took some pics with my little boy...he was so excited! I just thought I'd share. It was a cool experience!
Wow, dude, that's awesome. Great you shared this. Nice to see some positivity. How'd your son get to be such a big Dodger's fan?
Man I miss seeing Skip's ugly mug in the dugout. What a legend. I'm glad the field has been named after him.
LOL...that's the team he was assigned to this season. Last season, he was a Cub. The one before, he was a Met. A little positivity goes a long way in times like these.
Ah that it explains it...i was wondering what was up with that...your son in the Dodgers uniform, Skip with the Yankees cap on, Katz with the Marlins cap on
That's very cool. I especially enjoy seeing athletes doing things like this when they don't expect any publicity from it. I also really like that in the photos with Bregman and Katz your son looks positively giddy, but in the one with Skip he looks kinda bored, like "who the heck is THIS old dude?"
always great to see folks pitching in to do their part. very nice story and very cool to see that they have such a league. great story...thanks for sharing it.
