So lets see, we are down to 9 recruits, one of them is now saying Ole Miss is in the fight. So here we are the LSU tigers we have technically 8 recruits with one on the fence. Not saying I am sounding a horn of concern, but the fact every other big time school has at least 15-20 recruits some with more and we have 9 just losing another one... Oh well coaching changes kill recruiting. That is becoming painfully obvious. We shall see what happens next wednesday I guess.
i think we should be alright as far as OL goes. Still got a lot of depth and Miles can make up the lack of recruits on the line this year with juco guys.
Meyers was never committed to LSU. We didn't lose him. He's from Cali and he's going to USC. No suprise there.
Listen guys, don't get too depressed over this. Remember that having a small # of schollies to give means that we are well-stocked in most positions already. In fact, I think that's why Myers switched.. as a Juco, if you're not going to start right away, you're better off looking somewhere else. And considering that we're bringing our ENTIRE starting OL back (as of end of year), his chances to crack that lineup were not really great. Small # of schollies + coaching chance = tough recruiting year. BUT.. won't have real significant impact on our ability to succeed next year. And success next year will have HUGE impact on recruiting next year. So my main worry is getting a quality D staff together and putting it together on the field next year. :geaux:
