1.) Good guys 1st and 10. LSU must be successful on 1st downs and keep 3rd downs manageable and stay away from 3rd down and JJ. 2.) Turnovers. Our defense needs to get 2 takeaways Saturday if we plan on winning. 1 takeaway, we hope, will take points away from 'Bama. The other takeaway, we hope, will put us in position to score. 3.) Trench warfare. Our boys better be ready for a fight. The LSU offensive line has got to put a hat on a hat and the skill position guys have to chip in and make their blocks count also. LSU's front 7 must gang tackle, wrap up, and stop the Alabama running game. I know most of you aren't real excited, but our boys can win this game. We match up better with 'Bama's style of offense better than Auburn's. GEAUX TIGERS!!!
I agree with all of that and add we need quick medium range over the middle passes - delivered and caught in stride. Slants.
We CANNOT get wore down in the 4th Quarter. Then again, we won't be chasing after Dam Cam all Game. We must fire on all Cylinders. Every year we seem to have One Game where we do those type of things. 2 years ago: Chick Fil-A Bowl by destroying Ga Tech. Last year: the Auburn Game- totally dominated (last min TD by them) Hopefully that game this year was not the FLA game...
That right there will be the difference between winning and losing. Our receivers need to catch the damn ball. Whether it is on the #'s or a little off, they need to catch it. JJ nor JL are P Manning, but even Manning needs his receivers to make the catch. Our receivers make those catches that they get their hands on, and this O will move the ball and win the game.
We play with fire and catch all balls and 0 turn overs - we win. Bama is a great team and will be ready to play. We have to play a complete game for the first time this year. I thought LSU played a B/C type game against Auburn that played a A game and we still had a chance in that game. It's good to be a Tiger this week ! How do you know you got a elephant in your frig???
