what a minute, the media has a chance to sing someone's praises and it isn't USC????? Of course, we're the craziest, die hard, most passionate fans in the country. :thumb: just so long as we're not talking about basketball and baseball... then in order to be crazy you actually have to attend the games.
We win the mnc in essentially a home game in 2003. No looting. No rioting. No burning cars, broken storefronts, etc. Just a bunch of LSU fans partying and having a great time. I think crazy, in our world, is a good kind of crazy. Now all the bull**** stories of peeing on grandmas, pooring piss on opposing fans, etc. I've never seen it and I've been going to LSU games since the early 80s. If it were true - bad crazy. It's just not true. AU fans please post your replies to my blanket denial of all your fabricated stories here.
Fowler also openly and repeatedly admitted, back in 2003, to being (a) an AP voter who was (b) voting USC #1 over LSU no matter what. A tool he is, indeed. :crystal:
Where did this interview or information come from? Just curious. I was going to try to look it up and see if there was anymore but I couldn't find it.
The Big X has a serious problem with looting and turning cars over when they win NC's. And they make fun of the south for being backwards
Why don't they do interviews w/ fans about who has the craziest media reps? Corso's up there, but I think Trev Alberts may take the cake for CFB.
I dislike Ohio State fans because they are so NICE. After Archer went brain dead in the 1988 in Columbus, it gutted me to have listen to people pouring out of the Horseshoe being nice afterwards. I so needed those SEC fan taunts of "you suck!", "loser", "choker", etc. for a point to vent my rage at the play calling. But noooo, "it certainly was an exciting game", "you're fans do travel" ... an SEC football fan's pain can only be softened by obnoxious, salt-in-the-wound name calling. Iowa fans have that same problem, must be a Big Ten plague.
http://www.collegefootballgameday.com/MeetYourHosts.aspx It's on the college gameday website. They love the SEC (except Fowler). Someone picked Auburn/Alabama game as the best tailgating experience, and another one picked Florida as having the best atmosphere on gameday. And like you guys pointed out, they mentioned LSU several times. Gotta love hearing LSU, Auburn, Alabama, and Florida as four of the teams mentioned.
