As I suspected. And it's been a relationship forged early on in the recruiting process (not just the last 1-2 months as some were made to believe). Scout.com: Gunner Kiel speaks “He was very involved in how things played out,” Kiel said of Kragthorpe. “Even when he knew I was committed to Indiana, he stayed in touch with me and told me he’d help me however he could. He’s a good family man and it’s going to be an honor to be coached by him.” This Kragthorpe dude is off the chain. Jesus.
I agree, just a class guy that I'm glad to have associated with the program. If he can deliver the goods like this then that is just gravy.
I've been telling people this since he was hired. He is one of the better guys in the profession.:tigereye:
i had a suspicion you did. i wonder how long his health can be maintained. thats one debilitating disease.
Both he and his wife have debilitating diseases. I am honored and humbled to have both of them in our extended LSU family.
Word is he is adjusting fine with the medication. I always post this about one of Krags good friends, they were on the staff of the Bills together. Its a great read....... New Esks coach expert at keeping things together I did get to Krags son play this year, hes a QB at U-High in BTR. Good player.
i hope he can maintain with meds. i read somewhere that after the ncg he will likely be working with his doctors on getting his meds more adjusted, and learning how to work/not work in a pattern that is most optimal for helping control symptoms. his health definitely comes first, so for that reason alone, i hope the off season is good to him in getting more acclimated to meds and pace. i also read that les trusts him to know when to say when and be the one to say so. and krags seems to have a respect for miles and lsu that he will take his commitment seriously for staying, and knowing when to step down.
that one may have to come from family and friends because it may skip past that point without him knowing. but lets not get ahead of ourselves. glad hes managing it. thats pretty much all you can do. You cant really get better. thats why its depressing to think about. regardless, we can say he nabbed the top ranked qb in the land from Notre Dame and USC in the 11th hour. thats a win/win.
true. his ability to coach qb's seems quite remarkable. and his recruiting has just been shown to be equally as valuable. we had a good family friend with parkinson's. he managed very well for a lot of years with it before going downhill. i hope krags can do the same. i think tho that what i read shows a strong mutual respect between him and clm.
