For a while, going into the Sat and Sun games, I thought this LSU team would be running on fumes in terms of the pitchers left available. It was amazing that all the pitchers Bradshaw, Cain and Byrd stepped up to the plate and delivered stellar performances, including Bertucinni and Haydel. Of course, Coleman and Reynardo are special. What a team effort!:thumb: I am glad for the seniors in the group who are leaving this tournament with sweet memories. Thinking about the dogpiling at the end of the game, it always seems like the team is trying to kill the guy at the very bottom of that pile. Scarry. Hope nobody got hurt because there is still a lot of ball to be played.
I could not agree more. The pitchers that had up and down seasons came through....let's hope they keep it going. :geaux:
who the hell is reynardo? other than that i agree 110 percent. superb performance across the board in terms of pitching. i also thought that the timing of hits was well executed. i think we may need to be a little more consistent to be completely un-stoppable, but we're getting there. i like this team's grit so far in the post-season!
I don't follow baseball unless LSU makes it to Omaha. I guess CPM is earning his keep! :geaux: I did enjoy that video bhelm (?) posted on Chad Jones closing out an inning. That was very cool.
Holy crap; I have to admit I didn't know how to spell his last name, but, boy, was I wayyy off! (Ranaudo) BTW I had forgotten to mention Ott (impressive). I think the team was very deserving of the SEC tournament champ title, having to dig themselves out of the losing bracket, and endure the very long outing on Sat.before facing Vanderbilt with a short rest. Their hitting were getting to be more timely, and I hope it keep on improving. Mahtook was also very deserving of the MVP title, and I am really happy Landry is starting to catch fire again. I really like Nola; not only is he great at defense, his hitting is not bad either. Gibbs also is coming into his own again with his hitting.
I met Chad Jones after the game, told him I was from Louisiana but lived in Bama now, told him they best beat Bama in football this year, he told me yep, we got em this year
LSU is set up nice to make a run at another championship. Coleman, Renaudo Coleman, Renaudo Coleman, Renaudo There will be a heavy dose of it and it might be just what the doctor ordered for us LSU fans. More cowbell, baby, cuz I got the feva!
Looks like those shakey relivers are rounding into shape. Its goog to know that Byrd or Cain can be relied on for 5 innings or more.
I started a round of golf during the 5th inning at the Islands Golf club near Addis yesterday. After finishing 9 holes we went to the clubhouse for some drinks and Buzzy's Aunt was working while watching the replay. She made sure no one told her the score of the game. I wish I could have seen her after her nephew closed the game out.
