:hihi: Here's my favorite part of his article ... the very end

    SEC Championship
I'll take Georgia over LSU. UGA gets to play LSU early (Oct. 2) at home, and LSU still will be working in some new faces. If the Bulldogs win that game, they should hold the edge in confidence for the SEC title game. Of course by then I might change my mind and go Tigers. We'll see :dis:

Absolutely pathetic ... I haven't seen this much flip-flopping since Kerry last opened his mouth

But then, what have we come to expect from these idjuts :hihi:

Yeah, he also had Justin Vincent as one of is "contenders" for the Heisman, and now has removed him from that list.... Not that I think JV will win it, because it's virtually unheard of for a sophomore to get it...

That's ok... since the media isn't hyping us up.... They'll never see us comming. Then again, when the season is over, if we're again sitting on top... all of those idiots will be shouting, "I told you LSU was the best team in College Football... I told you so."....

    Geaux Tigers!!

What do you expect from the media????
To be totally honest with you guys however I will say that I don't understand why
everyone here thanks that we will be so good this year.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying we will be bad or anything.

Lets take off the purple and gold glasses for 1 minute.
I think we will lose around 3 games and hope I'm wrong.
I think we will lose the SEC Champ Game or fall just short of going to it.
We have a lot of tough road games this year and a QB and WR's that are unproven
and don't have SEC experience, not including Randall as inexperienced but still somewhat unproven.
Everyone is going to be out to get us, I just don't think its going to be easy or automatic like some people around here think it is.

On the up side our Defense should be just as good if not better than last year but we
will need it to win some games for us until the offense can get on track.
I do think our running game will be good and I have confidence in the coaching staff to get the job done on both sides.

    Geaux Tigahs!

Thats why, right there. Thats what it takes. Thats the formula for winning championships, and we have it. If our defense is better than last years, it wouldnt be unreasonable to assume that they would put up similar numbers, and when you only allow 11 points per game, you dont have to score much yourself.

Why so sour Dough? Our QB is about as untested as the one we went into last season with and may actually be capable of more if you factor in his feet. I look at completion percentage and leadership skills for the most part and he had about the same completion percentage as Matt. The leadership skills are up in the air yet, but if he gets a couple wins under his belt........

    The receivers, I agree.

But the rest of the team should be better. There's never a sure thing, but our roster is prety darn solid IMO.

To be honest with you, I like the fact that the media is not hyping LSU up. The only thing I can't stand more than some idiot not giving LSU respect, is having that idiot jumping on the LSU bandwagon.

I too like the fact that LSU is not being hyped up. It's a distraction in my opinion. The only thing that matters is to win the game at hand. If LSU does that, they'll be National Champs again.

randall will do fine. the coaches wont put him in a bad situation. I think if he needs he will tuck the ball and run. Matt did it well till he got hurt.

We should never the forget the Mike Archer jinx. He won two bowls and an SEC championship as LSU head coach with Bill Arnspargers recruits. Before the 1989 season he loudly (and publicly) complained that the #4 pre-season national ranking for LSU was too low. He finished the year at 4-7 followed by a 5-6 and was fired, sending LSU on a six-year losing streak.

Pre-season #1 don't mean squat. LSU is the Defending National Champions until somebody wins the Orange Bowl in 2005. :champs:

We should be grateful, then, that Saban is not playing Archers recruits.
