1. My parents are from south Louisiana and say this expression from time to time. Hopefully my spelling is how it's meant to sound and basically means "Holy Moly."

Anyone ever heard it before or know where it originates? Was there a Lord T-Claude back in the Nova Scotia Acadians (Cajuns) era?
  2. Joking about Lord Claude (I think) and more likely someone's crazy parrain dancin and drinkin by the fiya on the bayou.
  3. I have not heard that phrase in many many years.

I'm from Kaplan and yes that phrase was in heavy circulation.
  4. Elvis Presley - Lawdy, Miss Clawdy:
  5. been a long ass time but got not clue on its origin.
  6. Phrases like this are fine and all until you hear it said with no accent by some yuppie in BR... probably in the same sentence as a "you guys!"
  7. I had a dream a few nights ago that prompted my question. I had never pondered what was being said until that dream, when I thought to myself (in the dream) 'Did he just say T-Claude? How did I never notice that before?'
