Did any of you happen to listen to the Saban radio show last night? It seemed like he had a real concern about the leadership on this years team, and how they need some good leadership in order to be more successful. he talked about how good last years leadership was. But he couldn't really seem to pin point anyone on this years team that has done a great job leading. He mentioned Spears, Turner, Wilkerson, whitworth as being good leaders in their on way but nobody that has really taken a huge vocal role. its already 3 games into the season, its should be about time for some leaders to step up and get the team to really rally around them.

Mauck, Clayton, and Hill would have been seniors if they hadn't left early for the NFL and would have been natural captains for this year. So LSU has a gap to fill. The remaining seniors have to step up. Spears seems to be doing it. I'm not sure about Wilkerson and the others. This is probably Whitworths last year, so he might as well step and lead as a junior. Randall can be a team leader even when he is not playing, like Rohan was with Booty starting. And Russell better become a young leader fast if he is to be an effective quarterback.

Time will cure this leadership problem as players gain confidence and step up. This is a young team with only 9 seniors.
