1. Okay, so on a lot of these threads lately, you have the conservatives posting info from a blog/website and getting challenged by the liberals because it is a right wing blog. You have the same thing happening with liberals posting info from the left wing blogs/websites and getting challenged by the conservatives. Then some argue that posting an article from FoxNews, CNN, MSNBC, etc. is no good because it is the evil "corporate media" (cough, REX).

So I ask all of you: where is the middle ground? I mean, is there ANYWHERE on the internet where you can go to find OBJECTIVE analyses (plural of analysis?) of the Presidential campaign? Ones that have neither a conservative or liberal agenda or bias? I'm serious. Because a lot of these arguments just go around in circles because nobody's link is good enough because it is "biased". I guess that's what makes these arguments fun - that and Rex's chicken-little-the-sky-is-falling-McCain and Jindal-are-the-Anti-Christ posts.

I think we can all agree that nobody is going to post something that doesn't support their argument. But I'd honestly like to see something that has neither a liberal nor conservative spin (or any other spin, for that matter). Is that even possible in this day and age?
  2. The only middle ground you will find is someone like Lou Dobbs.
  3. check out Fox News. they are fair and balanced
  4. Lou Dobbs is Rush Limbaugh with with decent hair.
Fox News is far from fail and balance.
Tiger, you have asked a good question and their probably isnt any right now. Politico does a good job, but the lean to the left a little.
    Hell PBS?
  5. Sirius Radio has a left, right, and independent channel
  6. Truth is somewhere in the middle of your statement, IMO. You're right, you'd be hard-pressed to find a moderate news outlet these days. Fox, however, is more "fair and balanced" than you're probably willing to give them credit for. Right leaning? Absolutely, but more willing to explore both sides than the other majors, who seem to approach every story from 2 angles: 1. our left-leaning spin, and 2. how will this affect the Dems chance in the next election?
  7. It seems to me that Fox is very biased in many instances. Perhaps going to British news sources or other foreign news sources would eliminate some of the spin we have to wade through. Of course, that probably wouldn't help on many domestic issues. Perhaps there is an independent source out there?
  8. you really consider him a Rush Limbaugh clone? I can't stand that fat bastard. You must not hear Lou very often. He hammers the Republican just as much, if not more than the Democrats. That by itself, shows that he is not Rush-like.

To me, he just generally advocates Common sense policies that both parties and their advocates have seem to have forgotten.
  9. The problem here is that many of the foreign papers have a decidedly Obama slant because of their disdain for GWB.
  10. Fox News is the closest thing to being fair and balanced.
This is the problem we have in this country.
People have to be able to watch the news through a filter of sorts.
I guess you could watch CNN then Fox News and see both sides of the story.
Actually that doesn't work either because both sides leave out information.
Example: Many times one channel won't run a story unless they have too.
