1. WWL posted the audio early last week of a Les Miles press conference - New LINK (23 minutes). It's worth listening to, there was some good info on a number of topics.

Coach Miles began the press conference by talking about how someone had just guaranteed the national championship. About two minutes into it he says how he would love to play USC. He goes on to say how he thinks LSU has a tougher road to get to the championship game and then kids around about how USC’s schedule is a lot easier.

On Sunday the Advocate reported this - LINK
No doubt this will be fuel for fire on opponents’ message boards, and has already started in the blogosphere (for whatever that’s worth). I don’t have an ESPN Insider subscription, but Bruce Feldman had an article about Miles’ comments. I see where Matt Hayes from The Sporting News has chimed in as well. At least this silly season might bring in a little fun, with some of the attention directed our way. 58 days and counting, I think I can, I think I can...
  2. Let 'er rip Les :thumb:
  3. I agree.......no need to give anyone extra motivation. That's what struck me as so ironic- the fact that there's a general consensus that we'd like to see a little more fiya in our man. When he does catch a little fiya, it's a doozy- a la the recruiting bash expletive and the Tenn. halftime thingy.

  5. I can assure you the talk on this subject has started. It's mixed actually. I'm torn as well. While I think CLM should do more talking, this may not have been the best foot ventured. LSU's schedule both in and out of conference last year was worthy of argument, this year it's not as tough.

Regardless, I still would like to play it out on the field. No jinx friedriches, just some smashmouth football, n'est-ce-pas?

  6. Sorry about the bad mp3 link. I uploaded the mp3 somewhere else and changed the original link...
  7. Well, a lot of us have been critical of Coach Miles being bland, not speaking out and showing some emotion. After the 2006 Tennessee halftime comments, the “Bash” speech and this recent speech, it looks like we now have the Coach we wanted to hear. A lot of people have been saying or thinking what he is saying for years. For me, I am glad to see him speaking out. I personally see this as the Coach leading the team and the fans and challenging them. I only hope we can all meet the challenge. Looks like Auburn isn't the only SEC team with an outspoken coach. Go Les!!!! Go LSU!!!

  8. If USC/LSU are ranked 1 & 2 to begin the season, odds say one of us won't make it to the NC Game anyway so chances are, the two teams won't face each other this year.......maybe we could set up a scrimmage and split the proceeds tween Katrina victims and a charity of USC's choosing?? :hihi:
  9. Did anyone else read this? It was on the first blog I came across. http://www.everydayshouldbesaturday.com/?p=3571#comment-233780

  10. One reason why I've repeatedly said I didn't want to start the season as the #1. :dis:

Just exactly who is "we" in the above comment? :hihi: I got game.
