1. Every game the announcers gush about this idiot when his defense is one of the worst in the league.

Can't wait for him to join his buddy in St. Louis.
  2. that was absolutely PATHETIC!
  3. no ****!
he just got beat by Alex Smith in 1:37. that's beyond pitiful. the fact that this man is in charge of a defense is dumber than the dumbest thing on earth. good riddance idiot.
  4. Williams is a great DC.

Unfortunately, instead of drafting some quality defensive players, Loomis and Payton drafted Ingram and once again neglected the defense.

Payton is a great coach but unless he learns that a team needs a defense in addition to his incredible offense, he will be a one SB coach.
  5. That was hard to watch... To allow the long yardage play via a blitz with such little time on the clock was hard to believe.

  6. The Saints used 5 out of 6 draft picks this year on defense, and brought in 8 more defensive players that were on the active roster at some point this season (7 of them were active yesterday). I'd hardly call that neglect. However, their ability to evaluate talent on that side of the ball is highly suspect.
  7. This is correct.

It's not the DC. It is the personnel. They are performing below expected levels of competence.
  8. Why move up in the draft to take a running back in the first round when offense isn't your problem? They don't even need Mark Ingram, waste of a draft pick.
  9. I wanted Ingram but am not conceding to this. Not as good as I thought even when healthy and saints dont use the run game enough to warrant the pick.

And Pierre Thomas is better and under-utilized.
  10. Correct. I think Ingram is best when he can get 20-25 carries and wear a defense down. That will never happen in a SP offense, so unless he can adapt, it was probably a wasted pick.
