Has anyone here ever watched any OSU games when Les was coaching? I saw last years OSU-Texas game, and it told me a lot about him (and it's good). And in spite of the loss and serious comeback by Texas, I still think it showed how good a coach he is. I thin OSU lost b/c of Mack Brown and the lack of depth on defense.

    Peace,

    This guy is good...

He develops a flat out passion and love for his players... And they always seem to want to go out to do their best to play for him

I watched his team give up a win to La Tech in Shreveport. Good win for tech, but when I think of miles that game sticks out to me. Still...only coach to beat stoops twice.

Rece, is the UAB loss the one that sticks out to you about Saban's career at LSU? Things like that happen.

Yeah, I watched a bunch of Phillips Oil 11:30 games.

Ball control against the big boys, opened up fast against equal or lesser team with the exception of a season opener in Lincoln. OSU was tighter than a...
    for that one.

Few personal fouls, few turnovers. Very good at protecting the home field, but had that headlight look on the road. I chalk that one up to leadership an talent.

If you can find a copy of the 2004 OU-OSU game, you get a feel for teams desire to win. OU had them talentwise and took advantage of turnovers. OSU made the most of what they had and was in it until the end, something they no business doing.

I admit, I haven't watched many of his games. I feel like he has done alot of good so far as LSU's head coach (recruiting & staff) & look forward to what he's able to do on the field. I believe he could become LSU's best coach ever.

However, I can't say I'm not a little worried about what's to come from Miles (as anyone should be). Some things that concern me, Miles quote "I think that I look for the opportunity to have big plays and the ability to control the ball on the ground, a nice very efficient throwing game." I want more than an effecient throwing game. I hope that Miles utilizes ALL of the talent we have on offense & doesn't rely to heavily on the running game. We know what his offense looked like last year with the most disproportionate pass-run percentages I've ever seen. I know before then he usually kept it around 50-50 though.

Also, this might be being overexaggerated, but having not seen many of his games I can't say, what's with what appears to be a propensity to letting teams come back & win????

Les Miles lost to Tech once and almost lost to them again beating them by 7. Anybody that get's outcoached by Jack Bicknell of LA. Tech (the worst coach in D-1A) is not a very good coach.
