Apparently, Les Miles does not share the sentiments of those posters to this forum who wish to see the student section penalized for their actions at the games. If "the entire nation" can hear the student section using foul language and embarassing the University, why did Les go first to the Student Section and show his appreciation to them? Oh, I see, he was the only one in the "entire nation" not to hear the "f..." word being used by those hooligans. I bet if he heard that word (or anything similar) being yelled by those students, he would want them banned from the stadium or severely punished as do several posters here. Yeah, right! Dream On!
You should have been in my room when the Hulk was running that football I called Tebow everthing except a white boy !! My wife will not come into my room during a LSU football game !! You may not have to worry about Miles Michigan lost again , I think , he may go there . But like Saban he will be back to the SEC , LOL Old Phil cannot last many more years at Knoxville , and they will pay him Miles , a heap of money to come back to the SEC and rebuild the Vols !! Don't worry , be happy !!
I don't think its the best thing in the world to chant "F U" or you "Suck C***". But this is the most intimidating, scariest, loudest student section in the nation and we are fueling the best team in the nation. Don't censor us. Ride it to the championship. And if anyone expects anything less from the student section after TEBOW TAUNTED US then you are in the wrong place. Hey, I agree with Les, not condemning him!!! I'm just laughing about those posters who find so much fault with the student section---obviously CLM heard the students, appreciates their passion, and overlooks small indiscretions like the "f---" word being yelled. Hey, let's be glad the team is having so much success and the student's are into it!
Of course he appreciates the students...but don't equate his recent show of appreciation as a direct or indirect endorsement of these moronic "fuc*-you_" chants. He was merely celebrating after a big win in front of the student section - it's a time honored tradition.
The students aren't what make Death Valley great.... All student sections are crazy... It's the REST OF THE STADIUM. The south endzone gets JUST as loud as the north, trust me.
I think he appreciates the overall attitude and the support the students give. Don't think for a minute it is "just the posters on this board" that feel like it is inappropriate to use some of the chants the students have been using. Why do you think the band stopped playing Tiger Rag and the TD ditty? They tried one time after teh first TD against Florida and the students went into "You Suck" again so they didn't play it for the rest of the night. The administration at LSU frowns on these chants and if the majority of the student section wants to act like kids they will be treated like kids.
I am in total agreement. Thousands of LSU students chanting "F-- you, Tebow!" into CBS' live mics so that millions of viewers around the nation hear it. Someone please explain to me how that reflects positively on LSU. BTW, I bet if asked, Miles would say he never heard it. He's focused on the game, and I've no doubt he's aware of the noise around him, but not the specifics like picking up on a chant while trying to figure out how his number one defense was getting rolled over.
Get the hell outta here with that one. All student sections are crazy? Not as crazy as LSU, Florida, Wisconsin, and some of the other ones. To pretend that the students aren't the driving force that sets us apart from everyone else is a disservice to the proud tuition-paying students. The south EZ does do their thing though:thumb:
For 90% of games Tiger Stadium would be half of what it is without the student section. I've been in almost every other section of the stadium and nothing compares.
