I just got back from a Q&A with Les Miles. A good number of people were there. He answered most of the questions with the usual coach-speak but there was one interesting answer. Someone asked him about out of conference scheduling and he stated that he was not interested in playing power houses before the season started. He said that the SEC was very difficult as is and that they need to play a quality schedule before the season(SEC play) starts, not one filled with powerhouse teams.
He also stated that he was confident that Skyler Green would be able to play from the start of the upcoming season.
I have wanted this to happen in all sports for years... As of now, only the gymnasts do it, and I think it's great that they do... (BTW I think those girls have the most school spirit out of any of the athletes, just my opinion..)
Les said Skip told him that if he was stumped and unsure which play to run just ask the fans. We have unlimited yet untapped resources in our fan base. Skip also said that is the reason that Brady has become so unpopular. He is determined to do things his way and not consult with fans on bulletin boards.
I mentioned early on after Miles was hired, that he not only joined, but pretty much led the singing of the Alma Mater after Oklahoma State home games. It became so popular, that it wasn't just the students singing, but everyone. Almost no body left their seats until after the Alma Mater.
Should be great! I'm already one of those crazy students that stick around after the game to sing the alma mater.
