1. As per dandydon.com
How neat is that? Good to see he is really getting into being a part of the community..
  2. ...recruiting. Good to see he's helping the rest of the athletic dept.
  3. im not a les hater or anything but that sounds kinda weird, stalkerish to send letters to kids who do well in sports. maybe it was in a different context but just sounds kinda weird to me at first
  4. Seems like great press for our university to me, and it goes a long way in developing relationships with the schools around the state.

When I read about it, I wondered if it could possibly have something to do with the NCAA - if he writes the letters to everyone, maybe it wouldn't be considered a violation for him to write to football players or something like that.
  5. :dis:
  6. I just find this hard to believe, but maybe it's true. A typed letter with an original signature would be much easier to believe. But hey, maybe he has taken a few weeks to write hundreds of letters.
  7. Assuming this is true, who knows if Les is actually penning these letters or has a staff of hand-writers. Regardless, the LSU head football coach - when successful mind you - is somewhat like the Dean of Athletics within much of the state. It certainly can't hurt.
  8. This post right there goes to show that no matter WHAT the subject/situation is, SOMEONE will always manage to find a negative aspect in it....
  9. I agree with you. If I was one of the people to receive a letter I would have been very impressed and thought it was a cool thing.

Keep up the good work Les!:thumb:
  10. You're kidding, right?
