1. Well said, coach.

  3. Found this today on espn.com - found it interesting. Emphasis mine.

Texas A&M defensive coordinator John Chavis, who was Les Miles' defensive coordinator for six seasons at LSU, told ESPN.com Monday that he sensed toward the end of his tenure that power brokers were plotting to force Miles out as head coach. "It's always sad to see a man and a coach the caliber of Les get pushed out," Chavis said. "He's a Hall of Famer and a legend in the state of Louisiana. I was blessed that he gave me an opportunity to coach at a place like LSU, but I can't say I'm surprised that he's gone. They were trying to fire him when I was there, and I told him so." Chavis saw a similar situation unfold at Tennessee when future Hall of Famer Phillip Fulmer was fired in 2008. Chavis, one of the most respected defensive coordinators in the college game, left LSU for Texas A&M following the 2013 season. He said his issues were never with Miles, but that he didn't trust the LSU administration.

  4. Chavis is a class act, but he knows himself he is lying through his teeth. He would never admit it, nobody in the coaching brotherhood will, but Les Miles has nobody to blame but himself.

  5. This is not good as we try to hire a new coach and staff. I didn't really want to Chavis go, especially to aTm, even though he drove me crazy with the prevent late in games. Except for Saban, he was probably the best we had. I think Chavis is right, this AD staff needs to go. Lets hope they get it right for the HC job.

I think a lot of people were wanting to show him the door after 1/2012 debacle. Then when the offense started tanking after Metts graduated, the writing was on the wall and he wouldn't be given much time to right the offense.
  6. It was Chavis's defense fault we were not relevant in 2013. We had the O, he couldn't bring the D that year.

  7. He handled it with class but you could also hear he still has no idea what went wrong.
  8. Les Miles handled that with more class than anyone I've ever heard of. Holy shit. That's pretty amazing stuff but it goes to speak to Les the man, and some of the stuff he said speaks volumes about Les the coach. It wasn't the win or loss at Auburn, it's the lack of progress and life on offense.

  9. This quote right here says everything you need to know about Les Miles the coach:

“I think I gave us a chance to win the game. To defend myself, that’s what I did,” Miles said

He coached to not lose the game and in his eyes his gameplan worked perfectly until it didn't.
