On Don's site, it says that no redshirt players will have the shirt lifted Sat if we go up big EXCEPT maybe Perrilloux... We can only hope that isn't the case, and that they all keep their red-shirt
Les Miles spoke in his weekly press conference about Perrilloux playing. I have this recorded still so let me get the exact comments and quote it all....
I see no reason why Matt Flynn can't get a full half's work. No reason to pull Perrilloux's shirt this far into the season without some kind of injury.
Les Miles: "If our team needs him, the certainly I'd think he'd want to play.. and if we're in a position where we can have health at that position at quarterback for the remainder of the season.. umm.. you know.. I think he would consider and want to consider to be redshirted." WBRZ Sportscaster: "Now Saturday night's contest is interesting. In normal circumstances this late in the season if Perrilloux would play he would lose his redshirt. As you recall, the North Texas game was originally scheduled for LSU"s season opener until Hurricane Katrina came through forcing the tigers to move the game to late October." Les Miles: "There are special exceptions based on the storm and the things that occurred certainly in this state, as well as other places... and certainly uhhh.. the NCAA would consider this as an exceptional condition." WBRZ Sportscaster: "but coach Miles says he doesn't know how effective a petition to the NCAA would be and he doesn't anticipate Perrilloux getting a free pass to play Saturday night without losing his redshirt."
I REALLY hope he don't play... that can only be bad: Scenario 1: HE sets the world on fire, and then the team begins to question who the best QB is: Scenario 2: He plays bad, and then loses a year... It is a lose-lose to me this late in the year
What do you call experience? He will just take snaps and hand the ball to the tailback with a 50 pt lead If you want experience, give him a drive or two in a conference game
