and how good we will be How about some predictions....speculation.....depth chart talk....etc. Alley will be an All American RB. EJ Kuale plays Mike LB. Kenny Hollis will be a stud. Early Doucet will lead the team in Receiving yards.
Tell me what offense and defense we are going to run because Miles hasn't exactly been clear on that especially defense.
Everyone will forget our NC when USC fans file into the Los Angeles Memorial Coleseum next year wearing ther "USC Back-to back National Champions"
Matt Flynn starts the first game (the rest of the season = I dont know, I just think he will have the most playbook knowledge)
I am looking for JV to make a return to prominence. Bowe will dominate SEC defensive backs. The man child Glenn Dorsey will setup permanent camp in the opposing backfield. JaMarcus Russell will let 'r rip deep and often with the long ball for Les Miles.
JV - will go for about 1100 yds AB - will go for about 700 yds Bowe - the next Josh Reed Davis - the next Michael Clayton JR - 67% 3000 yds, 21 TD 5 INT RP - 57% 1100 yds, 3 TD (12 TD rushing, 500 yds) 1 INT LaRon Landry - 7 INT (2 returned for TD) Defense may take a hit, but Offense gets a SPIKE.
Yes....Laron will be first team AA and will be picked in the top ten by the Miami Dolphins in the NFL draft.
Depth chart for first game of the season(1st team starts on the left): WR D.Bowe , E.Doucet, A.Hill WR C.Davis , X.Carter , B.Brazell SLOT S.Green , E.Doucet TE D.Jones , K.Zinger , K.Hebert OT Niswanger OG McGill C Planchard OG N.Livings OT A.Whitworth QB J.Russell , R.Perrilloux :thumb: , M.Flynn RB A.Broussard , J.Addai , J.Vincent , S.Carey FB K.Stelz , J.Hester Defense: CB R.Prude CB M.Stevenson NICKEL S.Joesph DIME Chevis Jackson , J.Jack , C.Taylor DE M.Oliver , C.Stewart , C.Pittman DT C.Wroten , G.Dorsey , B.Washington DT K.Williams , M.Favorite ,M.Oliver DE K.Pittman , T.Washington , C.Pittman OLB C.Vaughn , L.Sanders MIKE EJ Kuale , K.Hollis , W.Demps OLB A.Highsmith , M.Stoltz FS L.Landry , C.Gordon , C.Steltz SS J.Daniels , C.Steltz , C.Hercules Reguardless, all of these guys listed will see extensive playing time next season....plus some that I haven't mentioned, and I'm sure there will be 1 or 2 incoming true freshmen that will be ready to play. :geaux: Landry is named to 1st-team All-American Skyler makes the All-American team as a returner again Niswanger and Whitworth will also be All-Americans (Whitworth 1st teamer) The above plus Kyle Williams, Mario Stevenson and Cam Vaughn are named 1st-team All-SEC. Broussard and JV also make All-SEC but as 2nd and 3rd teamers. JV is SEC "Comeback Player of the Year" and rushes for 1100 yards and 6TD's Broussard adds 1000 and leads the team in rushing TD's with 12 Addai is named team MVP for all-purpose yards 500 rushing, 300 receiving and 5 TOT TD's LSU's offense finishes 1st in the SEC in rushing and improves the passing game from 201 ypg in '04 to around 250 ypg. Even if our defense runs a vanilla Bill Clay scheme, we still have the talent and personell. Passing D takes a hit and drops a little with Webster, T.Daniels and Spears departing, but our run defense will remain strong and still keep our D ranked in the top 10 (top 25 at the least) We finish 9-2 (no particular reason except perhaps for a "growing pain game" and a tough loss to either Auburn, Florida or Tenn.). We win the SEC West and either go to the Sugar Bowl, or the Cap One again. Guess which one I'm hoping for???? :thumb:
