1. My pre-ordered Southeastern Football mag was in the mail today (LSU cover, of course...Glenn Dorsey), and those smart folks named LSU #2 in their preseason poll.

No link that I know of, but I'm guessing it's on the newsstands in some places already...

    Here's the Dorsey pic:

  2. I realized, after posting, that not giving you at least some of the write-up was uncool (shameless plug for rep points).

    Here's a nice piece:

  3. Thanks, I looked for a link and didn't find one either but when I typed in Lindy's SE... and did find this pretty good read on "Previewing the SEC".

  4. So who do they rank number 1? Or should I ask. :dis:
  5. Nope, no need to ask...you know, the only thing that bugs me about an LSU-USC showdown is the fact that some fans and media types will whine about LSU's "homefield advantage"; as sure as night follows day, a few will go so far as to blame USC's loss in that game to the "unfairness" of having to play in LSU's backyard.

    Ugh.
  6. They would have been in our back yard in 03' had they gotten the opportunity to play us. So tough sh!t. OU didn't cry about it.

  7. You know what we have to play the SEC Championship in Georgia's back yard . It maybe isnt fair sometimes but if your good enough you can overcome those things .

We have before. And Georgia has beaten us too.

Winners dont let those things stop them.

And that would make it that much better to hear them complaining when and if. I think we both have to get there first. LOL .

  8. Maybe they did, but I was going from personal experience. I remember the media saying it was basically a home game for us, but I don't remember an outcry from OU fans. They were actually pretty well represented in the dome. They just didn't have much to cheer about.
  9. Funny thing is, our last two games against USC, we beat them in Cali and they beat us in Death Valley.

It definitely is a huge advantage for us but beating them takes much more than "Homefield advantage", ask the Domers.
  10. I remember hearing a story that when we played them in The Colosseum they ran out of alcohol for the first time ever. Light weights. Can anyone confirm that this happened.
