I assume, the first thread was deleted because I forgot the link...thought I had linked it...here's the full story. Sorry. (Columbia) March 3, 2007 - The City of Columbia arrested USC quarterback Stephen Garcia at around 12:00 p.m. Saturday. He is being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center. His bond hearing is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Garcia is being charged with malicious injury to personal property. According to the incident report, 34-year-old Adam Biggs says Garcia used a key to scratch his 2007 Toyota Corolla. Biggs's car was parked on Greene Street near the USC campus Thursday afternoon. The incident report says Biggs confronted Garcia after he saw him scratch the car. Biggs claims Garica then offered to pay him $500 for the damages, that were later determined to be over $800. This is Garcia's second brush with the law in two weeks. Garcia was arrested February 17 and charged with drunkenness and failure to stop on police command after an incident in the Five Points area. Garcia is scheduled to appear in court on those charges on March 7.
I'm not familiar with this kid but he must have something going on in his personal life to be out of control like that. It's funny how the first thing they want to do when they get caught is offer to pay. Reminds me of yrs. ago, this lady at Delchamps we caught with a big pork roast in her purse. :hihi: Terry, I still don't see a link. pm me with it and I'll edit it if you want. Never mind, you are too slick for me, I found it.
That's how he usually does them, which is bad to start.... But he didn't even do that the first time around. In the future though Terry, how about making your links more obvious so that members know where to go to read the articles.
I thought "here's the full story" was pretty obvious. The problem is that the links don't have an underline or color change to indicate a link until one places the cursor over them. Links on many boards have an unmistakeable permanent underline. TF used to have links in purple boldface but that went away after a system upgrade a few years ago.
No problem guys. I tend to forget, at times, looking for things like links on posts in habitual on my end and others may not realize a link is included. Tiga, Since LSU is playing USC this year (not to mention I'm overwhelmed with this type of news in Charleston) watching what's happening in their QB race is something I would recommend you guys follow this year. As of now, the QB play of USC is going to be a huge determining factor in their '07 season. Mitchell is returning, but sat quite a bit of last season due to less than spectacular results. Smelley, again, very shaky and will be a true soph. Then, we have ole' Aqualung here. As we all know, as the QB goes, so goes the SOS offense.
The vBulletin version used here allows that, it is just something Brett needs to turn on. It's a matter of a click...may want to PM him and suggest it.
It was his professors car and the punk publically apologized. http://collegefootball.rivals.com/content.asp?cid=649399 I agree with Vincent Vega.:angryfire
Hey guys , I was just watching a special by Nike on NFL Network named 4 quarters . It is a show highlighting like 4 of the nations top High School quarterbacks from last season I believe. This kid, Stephen Garcia was one of them. They showed him commiting to South Carolina at the end of the show. He did seem to be a very rebelious type of kid. Very long hair and messy, untrimmed facial hair. They stated at the end that a reason why he chose South Carolina was because Coach Spurrier said he would not have to cut his hair. He seemed to lack a lot of character to me compared to the other kids in this special as far as the way he carried himself and the way he spoke. I just thought it was a trip to just watch the special, then log on the Forum and read this about him. :helmet: :tigerhead :geauxtige ldskule:  LSU! :usaflagwa
FWIW, and I am not saying make something out of this or not, but I did see Garcia today, on campus, at The Citadel. Granted, USC is in town playing the College of Charleston in baseball today...but I seldom have seen a lot of football players following a baseball team. Not that I expect a guy with this track record to make it at the Citadel...hair or no hair.
That has and still is a problem, I'm not sure how difficult adding an underline would be but it sure would make links much more obvious. It's a point that has been brought up before but no changes have been made.
