lol, the Fox announcer just called Brees "Drew Bledsoe" -- but hey, Bledsoe was a 4× Pro Bowl QB and a Superbowl Champion.
Saints up 14-0. Brees 40-yard-TD pass to Meachem. On the opening kick-off, Meachem had a 42-yard return. Looking good for 1st-Round pick Meachem.
Fox announcers just said "Brett Farve is no Drew Brees" -- showing how Farve is looking shaky so far in his game today.
The Saints looked good on the first two drives. The third drive started poorly wasting a first down by giving the ball to Bush up the middle. Henderson had the first but tried to get cute and we had to punt. Bush did the same thing on the punt return. Nice defense on third down for the Lions. Weak effort by special teams. After the 14-0 lead we look to have lost some intensity. Pick it up Saints!!!
After a 14-0 lead, the offense, defense, and special teams all looked like crap and now it's 14-10 against a weak Lions team. *Don't run Bush up the middle *Don't run backwards after a punt or reception *Don't overrun a punt *Don't jump offsides That's not what you did to get a 14-0 lead. That's what you did to give up 10 straight points.
