Logan Young, the bama booster at the center of the Albert Means situation which led to bama's ultimate probation, was sentenced today to six months in jail. I hope this sends a message to big money boosters everywhere.
He gets 6 months and M. Jackson fondles little boys and gets acquitted. Our justice system makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. I hope this doesn't send a message to child molesters everywhere.
Some of the bammers are saying they should get out of the SEC and join the ACC. They don't think the SEC supported them in their bout with the NCAA following the Logan Young fiasco. They say "even in our weakened state our prestigious program does more for the SEC than they do fo us. We would be a cornerstone in the ACC and be more appreciated." Wow, talk about egos.
I've been hearing this crap from Bama fan ever since this story broke. Plain and simple they got caught and don't want to have to deal with the consequences of Logan Young and the two assistant coaches being dirty. Heck the Tide got away with more crap under Bear Bryant and never paid for it. They want to leave the SEC for the ACC - great, GTFO! I'm so sick and tired of these delusional Bama fans who think they're entitled to something just because they're Alabama. It's never their fault it's always everybody is out to get them.
I would agree that the SEC didnt do a thing to help Bama, matter of fact the way I see it they were thrown under the bus to make a point but...this crap about bammer doing more for the SEC is BS. That may have been said 25 years ago but its nowhere near the truth today. They have a storied tradition..no doubt...but times have changed and they are no longer the focal point of SEC football and havent been for a LONG, LONG time.
